A Note From North Market Regarding Coronavirus
In regards to the changing situation around coronavirus (COVID-19), North Market is taking action steps to best meet the needs and address the safety concerns of our staff, neighbors, and guests. To further prevent and combat the spread of COVID-19, we are working hard by:
Updates as of May 1, 2o22
- Requesting all guests and staff members to wear a face mask while in the store at all times.
- Utilizing plastic protectors at the register to reduce the risk of contamination between staff members and guests during check-out.
- Encouraging and advising 6 feet social distancing at all check out lines.
Updates as of July 7, 2020
- Requiring all guests and staff members to wear a face mask while in the store at all times.
- Setting the timeframe (9-10am daily) for grocery shoppers with underlying conditions/compromised immune system and seniors that are more susceptible to COVID-19 to shop and/or come to the store. For folks that do not fit in this category, please help us fulfill this. We kindly ask you to wait until after 10am to shop at North Market.
- Opening back up the deli counter with take out only; no dine in.
- Utilizing plastic protectors at the register to reduce the risk of contamination between staff members and guests during check-out.
Updates as of March 30, 2020
- Setting the timeframe (8-9am daily) for grocery shoppers with underlying conditions/compromised immune system and seniors that are more susceptible to COVID-19 to shop and/or come to the store. For folks that do not fit in this category, please help us fulfill this. We kindly ask you to wait until after 9am to shop at North Market.
- Closing the deli counter until further notice to prevent the chances of handling and contaminating foods.
- Thoroughly cleaning registers daily every 15 minutes. At North Market, we care about your safety, health and well-being. We’ve stepped up our routine cleaning guidelines and we’re rigorously cleaning checkout stations, restrooms, shopping carts and baskets, credit card terminals, conveyor belts, food counters and other common areas.
- Encouraging and advising 6 feet social distancing at all check out lines.
Updates as of March 19, 2020
- Limiting purchases of high demand items. In order to serve all of our customers, we are limiting quantities on certain products that are in short supply. Please take only what you need so that your neighbors also have an opportunity to buy. Please know that we understand your frustration and are working hard to ensure we are stocked and our services are available to you.
- Increasing deep cleaning of surfaces and touchable areas throughout the store.
- Providing hand sanitizer stations and/or gloves for safe hygiene practices in the store.
- Reinforcing staff and community members to practice and follow CDC mitigation guidelines.
- Partnering with our suppliers and finding additional supplies, when necessary to keep high-demand products available. Due to increased demand, you may experience limited inventory and longer wait times. We are continuing to work daily with our suppliers to replenish our inventory and we appreciate your patience as we work to catch up.
- Cancelling all room reservations up until April 30th.
- Suspending room usage until further notice.
